Ohio State Court: Obtained an $800,000 jury verdict in favor of a business licensee against the licensor based on fraudulent representations during the sale and breach of contract which was subsequently affirmed by the appeals court.

Ohio State Court: Achieved a very favorable settlement for a food service company under a commercial general liability policy where the plaintiff had claimed that an employee had caused physical and mental damages in an auto accident while on company business.

Ohio State Court: Achieved a favorable settlement for an employer under a commercial general liability policy where a former employee claimed employment discrimination.

Ohio Administrative Agencies: Achieved a ruling in favor of the employer from the Ohio Civil Rights Commission where the former employee had claimed both gender and race discrimination.

Ohio State Court: Obtained summary judgment for former owners of a family business in a lawsuit filed by former employees and shareholders seeking to hold the former owners personally liable for alleged lost salaries and diminution of company value after the company closed.

Ohio Federal Court: Achieved a favorable settlement for a commercial insurer based on policy language defining storm versus wind damage related to a commercial building damaged in the 2011 Tuscaloosa tornado.

Ohio Federal Court: Obtained summary judgment in favor of disability insurer under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (“ERISA”) regarding termination of disability benefits.

Ohio Federal Court: Obtained summary judgment in favor of life insurer under ERISA regarding denial of accidental death benefits where the insured died in an airplane he built himself.

Ohio Federal Court: Obtained summary judgment in favor of disability insurer under ERISA regarding termination of disability benefits that was affirmed by the 6th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.

Michigan Federal Court: Obtained summary judgment in favor of disability insurer under ERISA regarding termination of disability benefits.

South Carolina Federal Court: Obtained summary judgment in favor of health insurer under ERISA regarding termination of a group health policy disability benefits that was affirmed by the 4th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.
